DROP OFF (starts at 9:15am) - Once you enter the beach parking lot there will be an FBS staff member waiting at the gate with parking passes for our parents (you may also receive a pass from the parking attendant).
(Please note that Quick Drop procedures apply only to the Pacific Palisades location.)
As you approach our site, you will see a sign to your right for Quick Drop (Pacific Palisades location only) and a sign directing you to Park & Drop. Quick Drop is available to all parents after the first day of your child's camp schedule.
If you choose to use Quick Drop (available only at Pacific Palisades location), you will pull forward as indicated by the orange traffic cones. One staff member will approach the driver's side and at lease one staff member will approach the passenger side. You will sign your children in with one staff member, while your children are assisted out of the car and accompanied to the camp site by the other staff members.
If you choose to use Park & Drop, we ask that you park your vehicle where indicated in the parking lot so as not to block our Quick Drop procedures. You will then walk with your children to the camp site where you will see two sign in tables where you will sign your child in according to the first letter of your child's last name. If it is your child's first day at camp you will be directed to our rash guard station where your child will be fitted for our camp shirt. Staff members will then escort your child down to the camp site.
PICK UP (starts at 3:15pm) - We try very hard to ensure the safety of your children and this holds true during pick up procedures as well. While it may seem like an inconvenience to wait in line to sign out your child when it would be quicker to just walk down and get them, we ask that you please understand that we do things a certain way to maintain the safety we guarantee.
When you register your child for camp, you will be asked to provide names of people who are approved by you to pick up your child. Those names will be on our sign in/out sheet every day so that our staff can verify the identity of the person picking up each camper.
When you approach our camp site, you will see two lines divided alphabetically by last name. Your identification will be verified and you will sign out your child. Your child's name will be called and they will be escorted by our staff to the "parent waiting area" (clearly marked). At no time will anyone, including parents, be allowed into the camp area during pick up time.
If you want to pick up your child early (at any time before 3:15pm) you need to call our office to make arrangements to do this. You may also notify our staff on site when you drop off your child that day. If an emergency arises and you must unexpectedly pick up your child, please call the on-site emergency number (see Contact Us) and make our staff aware of the change.
